At EWR, with the new LH Lounge in Terminal B, there's definitely no need to go to the PL in Terminal C, particularly if in F, where there is a dedicated restaurant and they escort you directly from there onto the plane when boarding begins.

Even if in J, it's got decent food and drinks and LH customer service agents if any issues.
