I think a lot of people are overestimating how much they use the 3x on other travel. I hear a lot of transit and trains. How much of a loss can that possibly be for the average person to lose 2x points on those? Certainly if you're spending 75k, it's not on trains. 4x points on direct book hotels and planes are solid offers that can easily get you to 75k.
For me, the Lyft going down from 10x to 5x has really flown under the radar, and that will sting a little.
