So this isn't as bad as I feared. With the new AF $795 (not $895 as rumored) and the $300 travel credit staying, it is effectively a $495 AF (a $250 increase). The travel earning change from 3x on everything to 4x air/hotel and 1x other is basically a wash.

So, for the additional $250 AF, we get new "coupons" for: The Edit, Sapphire Reserve Tables, AppleTV, and StubHub. Everyone's calculus on this will be different, but I pay AppleTV out of pocket today, so that is $120, and I usually do a few StubHub ticket orders per year anyway. So I am sure I won't "maximize" the value of these coupons but thinking I will spend enough without changing behavior to cover the $250 fee increase.

I'll have to think a little more on the drop from 1.5x in redemptions to 1x. That piece has opened my eyes to the fact that I have been sleeping on Hyatt as a viable transfer partner to extract value from UR. I may test that out for the year before my new AF hits in 2026.
