I was going to quote you the Ask BA reference, but it seems to have been dropped from the website(???) but I did check and IIRC as of a couple of weeks ago, ID is not required for BA domestic flights.
edited to add...
OK, stumbled across it under 'Contact us' and it says....
We do not require to see a passport or photo identification if you are travelling on purely UK domestic flights (i.e. with no onwards international flights), OR
If you are collecting your e-ticket (for a UK domestic flight )at the ticket desk. For this you will need the original form of payment credit card with you.
Please note however that some UK airports do require passengers to have some form of ID with them for travelling through the airport. British Airways therefore recommends that passengers do carry acceptable forms of ID with them when travelling within the UK.
Acceptable forms of identification:
- UK Driving Licence
- Executive Club membership card
- E-ticket access card
- Passport / National ID card
- Company works card / ID
This is answer number 910.
I've never neem asked for photo ID on a domestic flight other than on an IOM-LHR flight a few years back, but this was at the Police anti-terrorist check on arrival at LHR. Must have been my red hair....
