I have booked my grandmother (88!) on a flight from MAN-IOM; though I flew this route every week in 2002 I was never asked for ID, but then I think an Exec Club card is accepted as ID.

My question is should I get her to take her passport with here on this short hop, as she does not have a BAEC card, or are credit cards etc acceptable. She does not have a photo driving licence. Will they even chack, or are things stricter in the past few months?

Ticket (printed) was purchased from her local travel agent; despite her being savvy on email I am concerned about her being shocked (or worse, interested!) by some of the content on the internet, so arranged things for her in the old fashion way to ensure no need for her to get online!
