The Del Mar Marriott seems very new. The bed was awesome and the staff was great. Yes, I know the Del Mar hotel is a bit further from sea world, but it's not a bad drive. I was working from a location in Point Loma and did not mind the drive at all. (20 mins max). Now, you'll also find that the Coronodo and Marina locations are fantastic Marriott choices, but if they are not in your budget and you have to choose between the aforementioned Marriotts, I reccommend the Del Mar. I was really surprised how different the two hotels could be, given they are both Marriott's and charge the same price.
