I got Gold Sparrow last year via the hotel status match offer. This expires in August.

I canr find the RJ terms but if i were just to buy the miles to get platinum (approx $2k) so i could get oneworld sapphire... would i only have RJ platinum until my current expiry date (this august) or is it valid for the next membership year as well? Or if the former would i get a soft landing to gold Sparrow thru August 2026?
