Hotel: The Langham Hong Kong
Room Booked: Superior Twin - Courtyard View & 1 King Suite
Rate: ~254 USD & ~588 USD (including taxes)
Early Check-in: Yes, twin was ready around 11 am. Since I had booked a suite, they let us hang out and get some breakfast at the Lounge the morning of arrival.
Late Checkout: 4 pm, offered and taken.
Upgrade: None, already booked a suite and really wanted the early check-in as our flight landed early in the morning.
$100 Food & Beverage Credit: 780 HKD x 2 at any venue but not for room service. Ended up treating family to a casual lunch at T'ang Court.
Breakfast: Buffet at the Food Gallery (or the lounge for the suite). Buffet was extensive and high quality. Based on the previous day's experience, the lounge had limited selection and was crowded with slow bussing (although maybe it had a barista make espresso drinks instead of machine). We also wanted the entire family to eat together.
Prepaid/Paid at Hotel: Paid at the hotel to use an Amex offer for Langham hotels
Loyalty Points/Benefits Received? Update: yes, points received. Not yet. I did not see anything pop up in my Brilliant account so I filed a missing stay. The hotel approved but said it could take "6 to 8 weeks" for Brilliant to update. It's be nice to get the points if it happens but not holding my breath.
Comment: Booked 2 rooms for a quick 1 night stay in late March. At normal check-in time, I asked if I could switch the King suite to a suite with 2 twins. They accommodated since the room rate is the same for both bed configs.
There was an Amex offer on my Platinum card for USD 150 cash back on $750 spend at Langham hotels in selection geographies, including Hong Kong. Thus, I skipped the 5x points/didn't prepay, and booked suite + base room since that was the cheap 2 room combo that would go over $750. After 4 weeks without seeing the credit in my transactions, I reached out to Amex. Rep said the Amex FHR reservation didn't count because the offer stated I had to book through the Langham site. I was bummed, but a week later, the $150 statement credit posted ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
