I don't fly for the fun of it and if I was based in GB I would be getting trains to where I need to go instead (or drive)
I've booked flights just the experience of awe of being on a plane.

In fact, a few years back I had an all-day event in Montreal that was cancelled last minute and had 7 hours to kill before an evening commitment in the city. I headed to the airport and did a YUL-YYZ turn on points just for fun.

Every time I'm in a plane in those moment between rotate and lift-off I find it magical. I'll endure all the other pains (most especially having to be around so many humans) just to experience this as many times as possible.
