Actually I'm going to put the reverse side here.

NCL "best airport in the world"® is a good place to start any journey, with the CT scanners now in place, polite staff and a genuinely fast Fast Track, it rarely takes me 2 minutes to get through. LHR First Wing, maybe a little longer, but still among the best of an airport of that size. No security at all if NCL-LHR-somewhere-exT5. For both airports, those passengers without fast track can also get through quickly, it's now something like 95% of passengers through security in under 5 minutes at T5. The lounges actually have a far more diverse range of food and drink offerings than 20 years ago. Seating on aircraft has gotten more cramped in the cheap seats, but in some ways there are benefits of the thinner seats in terms of things like lumbar support, gizmo holders, charging and wifi. Normally I can get wifi to work which means things like flights to BOS/NYC/PHL go past in a flash for me - modern portable devices really help to stay entertained and productive for the flight time. And broadly speaking flights are more affordable on the more competitive routes. So I think there is an argument to be made in the other direction.
