TWOV does have a requirement to be able to show a booking for onward travel with exit through a TWOV capable port, it doesn't have a requirement to show accomodation bookings. It's best to have your onward travel printed on paper rather than on a device. You typically need to show it both at check in, and immigration usually asks for it.
