If it's an award ticket, or anything has changed with the original ticket, like a SWU clearing, the receipt option disappears. Why? I have no idea. DL has a PDF option for the receipt that has a decent layout. Not as good as it used to be, but it seems to be available on all trips.
BTW, if the AA programming AI has been trained by previous generations of AA programmers then we are just in a doom loop wrt the app and website.
Actually, believe it or not, sometimes, the option disappears, then they have to do something drastic with the reservation and the option comes back!!!????
For my two Spain flights AA dropped the code share, and I was forced to rebook with the same flights, now with their primary IB flights numbers instead of AA flight numbers. (That is, the change wasn't automatic.) Anyway, after this rebooking, my print option came back???!!!
I should also say, this year my Spain flights have changed much less than other years, and managing this has been much easier.
