It’s fairly typical for SQ to only offer 1.5 meals on the SG-East Coast Australian flights.
Sectors are sometimes less than 7 hours and the first meal often does not come out until 90 mins after take off and the 2nd meal about 90 mins before landing so effectively only about 4-4.5 hrs between meals. Particularly on overnight legs, it actually affects sleep.
Please, if I can't have spice, don't take away my sugar!!
Pulled up my pics from my last SQ to Aus and yes, the 2nd meal was either a roll or 2 mini chicken pies. Remembering the pastry on that triggered my indigestion just now. I'll be packing a few antacids and as much liquid as I can fit into my 1 litre bag! Assuming even though it's not showing just yet (but weirdly, it did show 4.5 months ago!) It's going to be a hot pizza type bar one way and the pies the other.
