After May 1, it is supposed to be impossible to gift the pass to anyone. The new changes require the pass to be used by the primary member, authorized users, or guests accompanied by the primary cardmember or an authorized user. Does anybody have experience about whether and how the new policy is enforced in practice?
From what I understand/have indirectly observed it seems that AIMS pops up a verification screen if the name on the boarding pass doesn't match the name associated with the OTP. E.g. Husband and wife entered, husband is the cardholder AIMS doesn't blink when that OTP is used, but when the wife entered there is some kind of yes/no prompt for the agent to confirm that they are traveling with the cardholder.
