I would imagine RJ are "happy" that you're going to take your refund and retreat.

I am sympathetic to the plight of RJ in all of this. Their business has been severely impacted due to the issues occurring in the region, and the operational impact due to the necessary closure of their country's airspace has in recent days left their schedule in tatters and aircraft that were inflight needing to divert.

RJ have been ruthless to minimise their operational costs cancelling routes recently, my recent excursion on RJ had two route cancellations I had to deal with via the 3rd party agent, that's a level of fun I don't recommend. If you fly RJ you can clearly see that cosmetic upkeep on their planes is falling by the wayside at the moment.

For those of you deciding to credit to the RJ FFP I caution whether RJ has deep financial resources to bankroll an influx of BA exiles, it doesn't have the financial health of Qatar.

I am very grateful that the trip I made recently with RJ had it's return leg last weekend. Had it been this weekend I would have faced disruption with cancelled flights and no doubt elevated concerns around safety.
