Some properties have a policy to verify Photo ID from every guest on every check-in, without exception, monitoring on the CCTV to ensure that they do. I'm ok with that, just as I don't find it to be particularly annoying to be asked what a 'good' phone # is - I can either rattle off 10 #'s which takes about 6 seconds or say 'the one in my profile is fine' which probably delays the process as they have to go back and copy it over. Frankly, calling this stuff an 'annoyance' and taking the time to complain about it is on par with the old man yelling at the clouds in my books.
