Is it easy to get a top floor unit when booking with Wyndham points?

I managed to get a top floor unit last year, but this year they are saying it's not guaranteed. There's still a month to go till our stay. Wyndham Diamond if that matters.

Edit: they did give me a top floor on both stays back in July (went to Grand Hyatt in between). However, they almost always put me in a building overlooking the pool next to the grilling/games area. These units are quite noisy because of this until ~10pm. This is my third stay at this property and I was assigned units close to this pool every time (as a Diamond). My guess is they do this for points redemptions.

Otherwise a great deal for Wyndham points. Hanalei Bay beach is less than a 15min drive and the Tunnels beach is less than 30 minutes away. It's not ideal for exploring the south side of the island due to distances, but it can work if you're ok with some extra driving.
