I have 4 sectors coming up on SQ LHR-SIN-BNE and back, but with a stop over. Looking at the meals currently available as standard, there is an element of spice involved in most. Normally that would work for me, but at the moment I've been advised to avoid spices and other stomach irritants. The description of what you get as bland is, well, pretty bland and not descriptive.

I've done a search on here and not seen anything that illuminates to me as to what you get. I saw one post saying "bland and soft" which isn't what I want. I also don't want to end up with white fish as I'm not a huge fan. On some flights all the menu options have spice.

(And as an aside, why are there only two standard options showing on the LHR-SIN but SIN-BNE gets 3? There's no vege option on the LHR sector, but on the BNE one).
(Also a little disappointed the 2nd meal on the BNE sector is a hot snack. CX, when I last flew them, and CI all had meals for the 2nd service).
