Spark isn't claiming to be a luxury or full-service brand...you are free to book elsewhere if that's what you care about.
I also think the OP might have expected a certain degree of luxury, comfort, and modernity by booking Hilton brands anywhere in the world. In fact, I would do just that in Europe to ensure a big king bed, working AC, and employees that speak English. Why book Hilton now? What guarantee of 1st world quality is there with Spark?
