Maybe false advertising would be an FTC thing, if they can actually regulate anything airline related. No idea. Also wonder if they, as a new “global” carrier, would be getting in trouble if they played that game in markets with better consumer protections (say, Europe).
In the end, this just drives me away from even looking for partner fares on AS.com. And I think the “fool me once, …” thing probably applies to a lot of travelers.
