Yeah, some people were playing games. Still, 99% of hotels I frequent ask for room number and, possibly, your name and consider that a strong-enough check.
I mean, it's a casino, they got cameras everywhere. What do you expect, somebody thinking "today's my lucky day, I will go with Miller, room 1417?"
