Thanks for the advice. I'll keep watching for messages and will check with the gate agent if I don't have success prior to that. I didn't expect to find options on the Delta website but was surprised when I couldn't find it when I logged into AF website. We had D1 coming home from Paris last time so were spoiled with lounge access. That's probably a must now (also can't find the option to purchase on the AF website!! ) so I'll ask there as well.

MSPeconomist - yes, the AF times are much better. Since all our travel is leisure, we have to finish work before departing so that mid-afternoon DL departure doesn't work to squeeze every moment of vacation out of our time off. Our last AF experience was an OLD 340. I'm hoping the 787 will be better... it couldn't be worse!
