Hi, all. I picked up a car from ISP last night from Budget (I know this is the Avis thread but aren't they basically the same company so hope it's OK to post here). I am not planning to use Budget's transponder but have registered for a TTA (Temporary Travel Account) on the NY toll app. I don't have my own EZ pass, etc, and am dropping the car within the Congestion Zone tonight.
Am I to understand the TTA will cover my tolls but not the Congestion charge and that will be billed to me separately via Budget with an extra fee? There's no way to contact the NY Toll department by phone.
Any clarification would be really helpful.
