Recently completed a one night stay here. Disappointing. Upgraded from King Room to King Junior Suite. Room OK, but just a large-ish room with a sofa facing the bed. Bathroom, no bath just shower. Bathroom door filthy with dust around the door panelling & complete with "liquid" stains. Same for pedal bin which was also filthy. Bathroom generally felt somewhat grubby. Bedroom was sufficiently clean. I had asked for someone to service the dirty bathroom at about 6pm on arrival day. They agreed to take care of it whilst we were out. When we returned at 9.40 pm absolutely nothing had been done.
Breakfast whilst a la carte was poorly cooked. Small continental selection was ok. But cooked food? Hard dried out bacon & massively over cooked fried eggs (solid!).
I fed back upon check out & was offered 10,000 Hilton points which I accepted.
I was pleased to move to the Hampton at Toft Green York for 2 nights which is so so much better, shockingly!
