Hi! It was concluded it several times that ticket purchased elsewhere goes under Finnair/Airport control 24-48h prior departure, and therefore one should be able to select alternative flight via AY manage booking/PlatsApp or at check-in desk in extreme case. I am considering using evening check-in option for that. But now I read this on AY page dedicated to strike:
Your options if your flight is cancelled
If you have received a message of a flight cancellation, these are your options:
- Change your journey: You can change your travel date by contacting our customer service. You can postpone your journey to start no later than 31 August 2025 at no extra cost. For tickets purchased through other service providers than Finnair, such as a travel agency, please contact the ticket issuer directly.
So I ask again, would I need to deal with QR where I got award ticked from if I find default rebooked alternative inconvenient? The point is that QR will surely refurse my requests with excuses about Award availability...
