I've regularly been just buying front seats because the pricing sometimes isn't too bad. Did it for two flights I booked today where 2D was $250 more than 8A.

I used to value it at $50/hour in my 40s, $65/hour in my late 40s and now $80/hour in my early 50s.

If devaluing miles means they still need revenue sales -- count me in if the price is right.

Only time will tell, but out of 30 booked flights I have in the next 3-4 months, 28 of them show only 0-2 seats booked up front. American HAS to sell them one way or another.
who are you kidding? prices drop? you obviously have no idea about the value of mileage upgrade awards if you think this is a good idea. Good lord.
