I got a pretty decent cash rate at the Residence Inn for Oct. 17-19 (sub-$300 for two nights) as well as at the Marriott for the night of the 19th (sub-$140) using corporate code(s). I typically value Marriott points at $0.008 per point and in these instances it made more sense to pay cash.
