To avoid discussing definitions, let me just show the relevant parts from the original reservation. It was paid with 8000 points (already deducted), and 21.9 MYR remaining to be paid at the hotel.

The booking was fully refundable up to 6pm on the day before check-in. After that, a cancellation would have led to 1 night being charged. Therefore from my point of view, the booking was at that point non-refundable. Even if I had not shown up at all, the hotel would've had the right to retain the points for the first night's charge.
