I did not have a nice experience early this year - I was refused Diamond breakfast as "your reservation has come through with points as the amenity and it can't be changed". The stay was paid with points, and I had put a virtual card into the booking. The agent forced me to load the app containing the virtual card to show him, and scrolled through the recent transactions too.
The lounge doesn't offer breakfast and the evening service seemed to have ended at 1830, so I just filled up my bag with some junk packaged stuff and soft drinks that had been put out.
Despite the apparent refurbishment, the shower was of an HIX standard. The ceiling lights had been positioned in such a way that they reflected off the taps into your eyes making it difficult to see in the bathroom.
That stay came at the end of a very long and tiring period for me, and at the time I just couldn't be bothered to argue or complain. But thinking back on it now makes me pissed off. I won't return.
I've never stayed in a Hyatt in my life so can't help with that.
