It's been open since November 2018; not sure I'd call that a "new hotel."

Singapore doesn't have a service culture unfortunately and the Andaz has largely indifferent and unhelpful staff.
I have stayed at plenty of hotels in Singapore, and my take is that the Andaz staff was particularly apathetic and unhelpful compared to other SG properties.

Is neither a choice? I would pick something like Westin or Conrad Marina Bay.
