Spent a night here, mainly to snag a brand explorer badge. Staff were all friendly and helpful when I arrived at about 9 pm in the Grab car from the airport. The place is less than a month into its Hyatt life but my Explorist status was recognized and I was immediately given a 2 pm late checkout for the next day. I was upgraded to a river facing deluxe. The room is just big enough and has a balcony. The bathroom and shower are standard and adequate.

The rooftop pool is the star of this place. It's got a view of the river (probably best seen at night). The always friendly staff brought a cold towel for me halfway through my time at the pool. There's also a rooftop bar next to the pool which has a view the other way. At checkin I was given a voucher for a welcome drink here. But it was only valid for soft drinks and mocktails.

Breakfast was at the restaurant which faces the river. It has an outdoor and an indoor air conditioned part. The breakfast was part buffet and part ordering a la carte. Together it was just enough but not overwhelming.

The hotel has an artsy vibe and has lots of local art exhibited and for sale. The place kind of reminded me of one of those Miami Collins Avenue art deco places.

The hotel is well located for the royal palace, Khao San Road, and of course anything to do with the river. Besides river taxis there isn't any nearby public transport.

My Hyatt points and night credited promptly within a couple of days.
