Correct they are not “completely” within the gift of the company - whatever that means - but they are subject to the policies of the company that form part of their contract of employment. As such they don’t get to choose everything they can post on social media, particularly where they use their status as company employees as part of that social media posting. The number of followers they do or don’t have is irrelevant.
