Pricing is all over the map. Today I see some midweek $49 LAX-SFO WGA+ fares with Basic blocked from purchase on those flights. LAX-OAK is double the price with a $30 WGA+ differential.
In general, the price differentials between days of the week and between co-terminal cities are greater than I can recall seeing.
I infer that Southwest is thrashing, searching the pricing space for some more profitable corners. Which don't exist, especially now that the brand has been destroyed.
I have a lot of WGA+ tickets back at the old $15 differential but I'm not biting on $25+ differential and sitting them out. $49 is good enough for me on WGA+. As far as Basic, I'm booked to end of Sept on the $39 and won't bite at $49.
