KF Elite Gold is a strange kind of animal, basically you need to accumulate 50k elite miles within a sliding 12 month window. So depending on when you take your paid flights and accumulate the 50k miles total, you could fall off KF Elite Gold for a few months and then get back on. I fell off KF Elite Gold in Dec 2024 but got back on this month in June 2025.

eightyhertz, very useful information! I was in a similar situation, about 9 thousand miles short of the 50,000 elite miles required for requalification by the end of May, so was dropped from Gold to Silver a few days after the start of June.
However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the requalification counter was indeed a sliding 12 month window, and I did not start from 0 elite miles again in June.
The elite miles earned in the 12 months prior showed up in the requalification tracker on their website. Based on the sliding window, I should requalify for Gold again by the end of June as I have lots of travel planned this month.
