I plan to book a flight from New York City to Vienna for my cousin's wedding, with a connection at Brussels. So here is the situation: I'm booking 1 ticket for the itinerary but operated by 2 different airlines;

1. From New York to Brussels, it's Brussels Airlines
   
2. 2 hours and 10 minutes layover at Brussels Airport
   
3. Austrian Airlines to Vienna.
   

Is 2 hours 10 minutes enough time of a layover, especially since its 2 separate airlines? Also, will we have to re-check our bags or go through security again? Given it's 2 different airlines, how far apart are the gates?
