Cool The challenge to book reward flights to Japan using CV
Hello all,

I am hoping to book business class flights to Japan for May/June next year.

I am aware I have two options when booking:

1. Book online (one way fares) 355 days in advance for outbound and inbound online and then calling after to merge booking to get a refund.
2. Book the outbound online and then call 355 days in advance of inbound to get it added onto my first booking.

I have two questions:

1. Does it matter what combination of avoids and £ I select? As long as I am consistent with both the outbound and inbound.
2. Do I have enough avios? My balance is current around £140k mark, with another £10k pending. I have searched online using my companion voucher for the outbound and also searched the same for inbound to get avios/ £. Could someone confirm that I would have to have the amount in the first photo (with CV)


+ amount in second photo in order of securing the inbound, if I was booking the two legs seperately online.

Appreciate this may have been asked before but wanted to get your views and experience, especially if anybody has been successful in securing Tokyo flights?
