I agree it's a balance - but what AS is serving right now across the board doesn't cut it. I know this topic comes up periodically and a minority of folks chime in that "it shouldn't be about price" and ask questions such as yours... but we should have 8 or so excellent $15-20 wines at AS, then - and we don't.

I agree with this. Not a fan of Lanson Black, and AS should at least have another champagne choice (ala OneWorld partners QF F, BA F/CCR), ideally different from what's in AM, and/or a premium menu (ala JFK Chelsea). I guess they are keeping
their record profits for other things...

Totally agree on Ace of Spades. Underwhelming. Thankfully, the QR F wine menus have been very good of late - some great Krug/Taittinger/Bolly options that hit the mark (for me, anyway).
