Just finished up a 2 night stay here over the Eid break. Last time I stayed here was in 2022, back when it was adults only. That time I used NUAs and got a suite, which was excellent. I am now just a lowly gold, so the days of suite upgrades are gone.
Similar to the last time, I absolutely loved this hotel. Booked a promotional rate on their base room for about 650AED, which included breakfast and an extra 1K points per night. We got upgraded to a room on the 29th floor (out of 30), which was facing towards the Le Meridien/Westin. Pool and beach here are 16+, so since we had our little one with us, we couldn't access. That's not an issue at all though, since we had full access to the very good facilities in the Le Meridien and the Westin, as well as the small water park located there. All the hotels were absolutely jammed during our stay, so finding loungers by the beach/pool was a bit of a challenge, but still acceptable.
The room decor here is one of favourites, and feels quite a bit different to many of the other Ws I have stayed at. Rooms are spacious, with a long corridor between the door and the main part of the room. There is a decent sized balcony as well. Only thing I could complain about is not having a double vanity in the bathroom, but not a deal breaker, considering as well this was a normal room.
I got a nice Gold welcome gift of a W shaped chocolate and welcome card which was much appreciated.
Breakfast was served in Ginger Moon on the 2nd floor, and it was just as good as I remember. Extensive buffet which included pork products, as well as order at the table eggs and pancakes, and barista made coffee. Breakfast was extremely busy, but that was to be expected during the Eid holiday.
Construction noise definitely impacts the pool at the W, and I would imagine the rooms that are facing that direction. If you are on the other side of the building, or using facilities in the LM or Westin, then there is really no impact.
Overall, at that price point, this hotel delivered really exceptional value. I absolutely would return in a heartbeat.
Didn't take many pictures unfortunately, but a couple of snaps:
