Those are the seats. I should have said, I can't find a photo that shows that seam at the back of the bottom seat cushion.

I think the strategy with these skinny seat backs was that by making them thinner, the leg room would be more.

For me, the amount of cushion was OK, but OMGosh that darned ridge/seam !
