My first CPU on a flight with meal service in over a year! (Probably because this flight got upgauged from an A319, I think.) And it cleared early enough to let me pre-order a meal; I went with the grilled chicken. And it was good, especially with that slightly peppery sauce.



No PDB or hot-towel service on this flight, though, and as you can see at the top left of the photo, the tablet holder on the tray was missing.

Every single upgrade cleared on this flight... which made me feel like a chump for opting for a $190 buy-up two weeks earlier. At least that let me ensure I'd have a window seat for our River Visual approach to National.



After a PDB and a hot towel service, our hard-working FA served warm nuts first. Note the new wineglass.



Same salad as on my first flight, although the FA forgot to put the dressing packets for mine and everybodye else's on the trays at first, then realized his error and hustled to fix it. Main was the "Houston signature dish" of seared shimp with a moderately spicy sauce; not sure what makes that Houston-specific, but it was good. I passed on having the same dessert twice in a day.
