The concourse connector is actually the exit path out of the gates from both sides now while they complete the next (last?) phase of construction. I'm pretty sure there is signage along the way to direct you to the D/E side (and back). It's a bit of a mess during busy times but still a pretty quick and easy walk. The airport looks A LOT different post-construction. I think I like it.... will definitely be nice once it's totally finished.
