And therein lies the problem. I have had to use my AS number on HA bookings for this reason. But that means I cannot select preferred seats and I am guessing that will mean no upgrade possibility either. On chats with HA, they can see my Pualani Plat status but even they can't access preferred seats for me. So the choice now is to earn AS eqm towards milestones or get preferred seats and other benefits when flying HA and forego the AS milestone eqms. A poor choice. This brings HA down to less than partner status compared to other airlines that do recognize AS status.
