Although I have to say that in my earlier (non-status and travelling light) life I'd still have chosen a 150 PLN KRK-LHR economy flight over the nearly 500 PLN CE one, especially if a return fare, with the more expensive inbound factored in, was even more in favour of the ET... Especially if flying occassionally and not hunting for a status.
and that is fine!! Some people will be. A group of 4 people travelling this difference becomes more significant. Disposable income etc will have an impact. If i was travelling as a student the 150pln would be verybattractuve. , but right now, for me, and for many others, that price difference is attractive. Some people will end up paying more than that for Y. I have paid more than that for Y on that route. I often book y one way ce the other because the price difference on the other direction is a lot higher.
Just trying to show that sometimes the difference between y and ce is not 'several hundred pounds for the same seat'.
Everyone will draw the line at the difference they are prepared to pay in a different place. Having access to airport benefits through status is one factor that will affect that. Do i have time and money for one trip in the month in ce v 2 in the month in y could be another factor.
But, it does not make those of us chosing to pay for CE 'dilusional' if we feel the price difference for us is acceptable, as was mentioned in another thread recently.
