DEN has been battered this week by delays due to afternoon thunderstorms, resulting in a lot of delayed flights, so even as a very frequent flyer, am feeling on alert
Given AC ticketed this but UA is the first operating carrier, what are my options if the UA flight gets delayed / what is the best method of recourse?
My thought was I would ask someone (not sure if I would ask UA or AC given that it's AC ticketed) to throw me on one of the direct DEN-LHR flights (UA has 2 departures, BA has 1 departure). There's also an EI departure to DUB in the evening that potentially could work. If allowed, would J be permitted assuming there's space?
Not totally looking for all of the answers, but at least who (UA or AC) is the right party to talk to. Everyone knows that in IRROPs, time is of essence
Thanks in advance!
You are going to have to wait for your DEN to YYC post a delay. Once it/does post, you should be able to change your ticket. Has UA posted any weather advisories for DEN?
