i have just completed my first year as KF elite gold and still rather new to this.
I am short of 3k+ miles for a renewal at the end of May. I read somewhere that if I have a flight in June, even if I am downgraded, from June'24 to June'25, after my flight in June if there is sufficient miles accumulated for the 50k to qualify for Elite Gold, I would be upgraded in June again.
Can someone advise if this is accurate and how it works? Thanks!!
I was concern that the clock resets and I am required to accumulate miles again for the full year from May'25 to May'26 to requalify. Thanks all!
KF Elite Gold is a strange kind of animal, basically you need to accumulate 50k elite miles within a sliding 12 month window. So depending on when you take your paid flights and accumulate the 50k miles total, you could fall off KF Elite Gold for a few months and then get back on. I fell off KF Elite Gold in Dec 2024 but got back on this month in June 2025.
