Looking into booking a flight for my daughter to visit a friend in KUL I'm not loving her flying over several hotspots and am comparing the flight path of British Airways vs. Malaysia air (using FlightAware.com). I see that within the last ten days a few times BA took the northern route instead of the southern route around Iran and made a sharp turn to avoid the airspace over Afghanistan. Those same days Malaysia air, as all other days, took the southern route around Iran, over UAE and Oman, on to KUL. Does BA know something and/or are they a more cautious carrier vis-a-vis those regions? I am obviously familiar with what happened in 2014...

I realize I sound insane but, things are pretty crazy these days....
