Advice please - I’m BA gold and thanks to some fortuitous legacy BA holiday trips, I currently have 13,870 new tier points - so I’m not far off the 20,000 needed to keep that status.

I’m assuming that a RTW DONE3 ticket is now my cheapest way to hit the 20k target?

I’ve never bought a RTW ticket before but I think a simple 5-sector business class trip would be enough if booked through AA?

I have to take time off work so I’m looking for as quick a trip as possible bearing in mind the two stopover rule and positioning to/from OSL. Something like OSL-LHR-LAX-HND-LHR-OSL with stopovers in airport hotels at LAX and HND maybe?

Can you experienced folk tell me if I am on the right track with this? Advice welcomed!
