When an Elite Partner with Gold status submits an upgrade request, is there any advantage to her using a gifted EAPDU versus using her own Gold recognition upgrade instrument? Or are they both treated equally? Specifically in terms of:

a) upgrade priority (I presume her own status is the determining factor in both cases)
b) timing of upgrade consideration (not sure if gifted EAPDU is eligible for clearing before T-7, should R inventory become available)

(in this scenario, assume there is no Elite member on the same PNR as her)
