Simple answer is that not all of us on here are into the "game"... and we may not have the desire or the flexibility to jump through hoops to maximize our miles/points.
But we may travel quite a bit because we have to, and may also naturally run a fair amount of spend through our cards. At a certain point, team cash back starts to make sense.
