Not even at the Kunming Airport Sales/Customer Service desk it is possible for foreigners to pay with anything else, but cash.

Went to the Sales/Customer Service Desk right away, guy tried to setup the Alipay App metro card together with me, but because of my foreign passport number....unsuccessful.

Have not been told about alternative cards by anyone.

Did not want to get a lot of money from the ATM, sponsored the Exchange booth instead with 39 RMB commission and a bad rate. (0,779)
